Dr. LIN Yun is an Associate Professor and Deputy Head of the Department of Computer Science and Technology at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Before joining SJTU, he was a Research Assistant Professor at the National University of Singapore. Dr. Lin has been selected in the National Overseas High-Level Young Talents Program. He received his Ph.D. from the School of Computer Science at Fudan University. 

His research interests include automated programming, explainable AI (XAI), and cyber fraud prevention. His research works have widely published in international conferences such as ICSE, USENIX Security, NeurIPS, ICML, etc. He was a recipient of the ACM/IEEE ICSE 2018 Distinguished Paper Award and has multiple times won the Prototype Research Award at the China Software Cup. He serves as the Program Committee Co-Chair for PRDC 2023, General Co-Chair for ISACE 2025, and as a Program Committee member for prestigious international conferences such as ICSE, FSE, USENIX Security, etc. 

He is the Principal Investigator (PI) leading Excellent Young Scientists Project (Overseas) and General Project under the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC). His team also establish many industrial collaborations. His automated programming technologies have been successfully integrated into the Doubao code model and Trae IDE in Bytedance. Additionally, his research on GUI testing has been recognized as an outstanding case by the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT).
